Privacy Policy

Simple Pre Packs ("we", "us", or "our") operates a Shopify embedded application that helps merchants create and manage size pre pack variants. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information we collect

When you install and use Simple Pre Packs, we collect and store the following:

Shop and session data

To authenticate your store and provide the App, we store Shopify OAuth session information including:

• Your shop domain (for example, your-store.myshopify.com)
• OAuth access and refresh tokens
• Staff user metadata provided by Shopify during authentication, such as name, email, user ID, locale, and account role

App configuration data

To provide app features, we store configuration you create within the App:

• Ratio templates — saved size ratio presets including template name, size keys, and quantity entries, associated with your shop
• Product pack index — an operational cache tracking which products have pre packs, partial packs, and colorway counts, used for the "missing packs" feature

Product data via Shopify API

The App reads and writes product and variant data through the Shopify Admin API to create, update, and delete pre pack variants. This data is processed through Shopify's platform. We do not maintain a separate copy of your full product catalog.

2. Information we do not collect

Simple Pre Packs does not collect or store end-customer personally identifiable information (PII). The App does not process checkout, customer accounts, or order data directly. We acknowledge Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks for customer data requests and redaction, but the App does not persist customer data and has no customer records to provide or delete.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• Authenticate your store and maintain your session
• Create, manage, and display pre pack variants on your products
• Save and apply your ratio templates
• Index which products are missing pre packs
• Process subscription billing through Shopify
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data sharing and third parties

We share data only with the following third-party services as needed to operate the App:

• Shopify — platform hosting, authentication, Admin API access, and subscription billing
• Fly.io — application hosting at simple-pre-packs.fly.dev

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we delete your shop's data including:

• OAuth sessions
• Saved ratio templates
• Product pack index records

Deletion is triggered on uninstall and via Shopify's mandatory shop/redact compliance webhook. Product and variant changes made through the App remain in your Shopify store according to your configuration at the time of uninstall.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage, and access controls limited to what is necessary to operate the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Shopify merchants in the EU/EEA and California may exercise rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our hosting providers operate. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

9. Children's privacy

The App is a business tool for Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
